Summary: An excellent stay. The Pembroke Hotel is a lovely hotel offering very good value for money. Fantastic, central location. The vast majority of the staff are excellent, if I was being picky I think the bar staff could either do with a more experienced manager, or more training. We intended to have dinner in the restaurant last night and despite being given menus, the staff didn’t think to tell us that the kitchen closed at 8pm - we missed dinner which was disappointing! We were sat there having a glass of wine, intending to order when we were ready. The rooms are big, well equipped and very comfortable. I would like to have had an extra aid to get out of the shower which is over a bath. I had to hold on to the towel rail for safety - I don’t think it is intended for that purpose. We would definitely return to The Pembroke.
